Charcoal drawing of Dale

My son Dale sat for a three hours while I drew him with charcoal. He was more challenging than most models, because he insisted on playing Spelltower most of the time. This led to him slowly dipping his face downward, throwing off a few measurements I made. At least it gave him an intent expression! In the actual photo of him he is not gaming, so his expression is softer. I think the brown color suited him because he has dark brown eyes and hair. Next post will be a portrait of Dale’s girlfriend, Madeline.
